Sending automated reminder 10 days before a due date, from a Microsoft List

Dear community, firstly thank you for viewing my question and appreciate your help on this.

My questions is how to use power automate to send a reminder email to the specific responsible person, 10 days before the due date?

For e.g., in the dummy table below, it shows the details from my MS List.
Project-01 has a due date of 7/31/2024. I would like for a flow in power automate to send an email containing the details of Project-01 to the Responsible person on the 7/21/2024 (10 days before) for the reminder. Could this be done? Appreciate your help on this!

PS: There will be over 100-120 projects, and hope that these can be automated. Thank you! 😀 Screenshot 2024-04-24 151030.jpg

Hi @YmmotEul11

Pls use the filter query to get items based on 'Due Date':

DueDate eq '@{addDays(utcNow(),-10,'yyyy-MM-dd')}'

Pls just copy & paste the above query in the "Filter query" textbox

That looks great! However, How do i craft the email containing the "Elements" of the specific project and the details that it contains to the responsible person automatedly?

Hi @YmmotEul11

Pls use "Send an email" action and pull the values dynamically for 'To', 'Subject', 'Body' etc. from content window. When you choose value from content window, the flow will wrap send an email action inside a loop. Here is an example:

Pls choose the appropriate values from your flow in send an email action.

Last question, what about in the email , i would like to have the direct URL to the MS List for the items that are due? how would i go about doing that? Thanks!!!

For sharing direct link to list item, you can choose 'Link to item' property from the dynamic window as shown below:

Pls verify the inputs/outputs of all actions from the last flow run instance. You can check if email was triggered by the flow etc.
