Power Apps button triggers Flow to send email to Distribution Group error

Hello,

I am going to share two scenarios. One that works and one that doesn't. From my perspective, both Send an Email actions within the flows are just about identical (outside of what appears in the "To" field), so I'm not sure why one works and the other doesn't ... any help would be appreciated!

Scenario 1: Working

A button within my app triggers a flow that sends an email. The "To" field is populated dynamically from SharePoint. A shared mailbox is identified as the connection for the Send an Email action. The person pressing the button, which is the app owner, does NOT have permissions to the shared mailbox and is listed as only a user in the app as well as the related SharePoint site. Once sent, the email comes across as if it is being sent from the shared mailbox.

Scenario 2: Not working

A button within my app triggers a flow that sends an email. The "To" field is populated with a distribution group. A shared mailbox is identified as the connection for the Send an Email action. The person pressing the button, which is the app owner, does NOT have permissions to the shared mailbox and is listed as only a user in the app as well as the related SharePoint site. Once sent, the email comes across as if it's coming from the app owner's personal mailbox.
