Hi All,
I have a flow that whenever a file is created or modified send an email. The flow is working fine and sending emails but the problem is its sending emails through my account only, which I used to create this flow. However I have mentioned in the From(Send as) = Modified By Email. Here is an image of my flow. The email should be sent by the person who is modifying the item.
Note: I created this flow using my personal account.
Thanks for your answers @JohnAageAnderse and @ScottShearer.
I checked the Run-only users it is not available in Automated flows. Run only user is available on buttons action like For a selected item on list.
And yes @ScottShearer you are right. For now we have decided to use an account like admin which will create the flows and send emails. Later we might switch to shared mailbox.
Thanks
Unless the user has granted you "send as" permissions, you can't send as them - I'm surprised that this doesn't generate an error. That said, getting send-as permissions from all your users is not a practical solution.
If you don't want the emails sent from your account, consider using a shared mailbox and use the Office 365 Outlook "Send am email from a shared mailbox" action- this implies that you have permission to do so. Another option might be to use the Send an email notification action (green envelope icon) - I believe it will show as sent from "Power Apps or Power Automate".
I understand that you want to email send from the account of the person who created/modified the item - you just can't do so without getting permissions granted to you by each user who creates or modifies an item.
Hello @Ramiz
You should be able to share your flow with Run-only users, so that the flow will run using their account instead of yours.
Kind regards, John
