Condition showing no inputs

Hi all,

I've created a flow to send Forms responses to a sharepoint list after which, an email notification will be send based on the variables, Compound and Location. I've utilized the switch and conditions to send the email.

However, I keep running into the flow run failed. The error details showed: "The execution of template action 'External_email' failed: an unexpected exception encountered when evaluating branching condition." But my inputs were set to run for action 'External_Email_228'. In addition, I observed that my condition showed 'No Inputs'.

What is the issue and how do I rectify this?

Regards,

Sean

In order for it to go directly to a switch branch, the value being evaluated has to be EXACTLY the same as the switch case.

In your case, that'll be varCompound. It looks like it's 226/228 in this instance. Do you have a case in your branches named exactly 226/228? I don't see one. That'd be your problem.

If you were hoping it'd go to that "External Email 228", you'd need to make sure the value you're evaluating is exactly that.

I look through my flow again. I've checked and discover that there is a mismatch in the data type between my varCompound and the value in Case 1 of the Switch function. The varCompound is a string type while the value in the Case 1 is an integer i.e. 190. This causes the flow to be interrupted.

I workaround this by setting the value in Case 1 as "190" making it a string value.
