auto incremental field with powerapp

Hi,

i developed in power automate a flow that create an incremental counter value every items added to a sharepoint list; counter resets to zero every year.

It works fine; the problem is that, according to free license limitation, flows could start only every 5 minutes and users cannot insert other items until 5 minutes.

I think one solution could be using powerapp funcion instead of power automate to get calculated incremental value without any delay.

Any ideas?

Many thanks

I mean... technically, sharepoint already does this itself.

Day 365 of the year, run a flow,

Get Items (your list, sorted in ascending order by ID, and filtered for year=this year) set to a maximum of 1 item

Get Items (your list, sorted in descending order by ID, and filtered for year=this year) set to a maximum of 1 item

Since Sharpeoint automatically increments the id column, the highest ID Value on final day of year, minus the lowest ID Value on final day of the year, will give you the total done for that year

IE) last submission of year had ID 1899

first submission of year had ID 1345

    1899-1345 = 554 items submitted that year

And you could even run this once a night to keep a running total daily to reference in meetings etc

But if you 100% need this in real time without a flow,

make a splist, give it a number column

then every time a person submits a record also update the other list to something like

    UpdateIf(OtherList, ID=1, {Number:Number+1})

then on final day of year, have a flow run that updates that number to 0

ok but i could use incremeltal funcion direcly in a number colunm in my current splist to get same result of current flow? I mean, without develop a second split.
