Hi Community Members,

I am trying to get the message ID of a reply email through Office 365 Outlook connector but this does not return anything in response. How can I get that id? Is there a workaround?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi Aion,

First step, send off the reply

Next, create a Delay step and set it to 5 seconds

Now when you run Get emails (V3), exchange should have had plenty of time to send the email

Note: The more reliable search terms you use, the more accurate your result will be. This is important if your inbox might send a lot of emails in quick succession

Get emails (V3) will always give you an array, even if you set the result "Top" to 1.

I would recommend running through your results through a loop of filter to return the first email that matches the expected Conversation ID

(This process also works with the Outlook connector in PowerApps)

This works a charm, for anyone else just remember to set "Fetch Only Unread Messages" to false

    Hi @yashag2255

I tried to do this and everything works fine, except I being the sender of the emails in the sent items, I'm also receiving the replies using the reply to email action. Is there anyway to stop this from happening and send replies only to the recipients of the previous mail?

    Hello @yashag2255 ,

How do I set the 5-sec delay?

    Thank you,

    Kharina

    Hi @davejoh

To get the Message ID of the Reply email, you can add a action "Get Emails" on the outlook connector and select Sent Items as Folder. Set Top to 1 and add subject filter if you have enough data to be passed.

Now, you can get the record and you can retrieve the id from it.

Note: Add a delay of 5 seconds between Reply to and Get Emails.

    Hope this Helps!
