Power Automate Extract Zip File Outlook- Save as different File Type

Hello,

I am looking to build a flow to accomplish the following.  I have searched the forum and haven’t found a solution that works. The flow fails at the extraction step.  Here is what I’m looking for in order.

  1. When email arrives from specific email address with attached zip file
  2. Save zip file in one drive
  3. Extract file (file is Microsoft excel 97-2003)
  4. Change file name to current date as a csv file ex. (20230828.csv)
  5. Delete file folder so I am only left with the csv file

This is a daily email I receive so folder will eventually have one csv file for each day.  The final results must be one folder with only csv file but if there is a different path to get to that final result I am happy to explore it.  I appreciate any help!

Kevin

    Hi @kjm5200 ,

This can be accomplished by running a quick Power Automate Desktop flow.  Example cloud flow is:

    When an email arrives...

    Save attachment...

    Run a desktop flow...

      Click on file and extract..

      Rename file...

      Move file...

      Delete extract folder...

If this was helpful, please mark as a solution to help others find it quickly too!
