Event fails to create in Outlook while the flow is successfull

Dear community,

My flow is triggered by an item created in a SharePoint list and it results in creating an event in Outlook calendar. As per flow run history, this flow has been running successfully for the past weeks and even more, with between 15 and 500 runs per day.

But today, while the flow runs show successful status, recipients are no longer receiving the events in their agenda as a result of the flow.

No recent change to the flow. It is run by a service account as event organizer. When I connect to the mailbox of this account I see no evidence of the events being sent. Nothing in sent items or in the agenda. So I wonder why the flow runs are showing successful.

Also this flow has a copy which is running on another SharePoint list but with the same service account. This copy is running fine and the Outlook events are correctly created.

I haven't found any known limitation documented online on the number of events in a calendar.

So I have no clue about what is causing this issue and how to fix it

Regards

Can you take a look at the output of a successful run?  Does it indicate that email was sent?

    Hello Scott

I've found the root cause. Somehow the step to create event had lost most of its advanced parameters. I failed to notice it at first. So it was running fine but failing to send anything.

I don't know why it was suddenly removed as we did not make any recent change, and even more non of such kind.

Thank you for your prompt reply on this

    Hi everyone,

I have a similar issue, but I don't know how to fix it. As for the given solution, the parameters are not necessary fields to fill right?

Even if i fill them, the flow succeeds, but the event step doesnt result in anything.

Can you share anything more about this? I’m having the same problem although the flow claims to be successful, it has never actually created an event

    Hello,

Unfortunately, I have no more solution than what has been written already here. In my case, I've corrected the event step in the flow and it was running fine again.
