UI Element Not Found

Hello, I am trying to complete a desktop flow that maps data from a spreadsheet into various fields in a website. I am using the "Click link on webpage" action to select on-screen elements. However, the input boxes in the "Prices" field are not able to be selected. It says that the element "cannot be found." How can this be solved?

    Hi @OnurOnal

    We need to make selector dynamic, so to make it work, could u open the ui element selector in PAD and check that?

    Also do one thing, right click on ui element and select inspect, you will see the html structure of that ui element which is causing the issue. kindly share scrennshot of that as well

    Hi @OnurOnal

    @Nived_Nambiar
    so someone should probably mention that the power automate web browser selector uses JQuery) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgK_BH1gBzc)

    It look like this is the website (https://my.ilabsolutions.com/account/login), based on the fact it uses "flex" containers means it probably based on flexdashboard or another flex-based widget / plotting package.     I suspect most of the site is dynamic elements.

    @OnurOnalI agree with Nived Nambiar... the community can help you correct the Jquery code that power automate is using to find the element.  If you could click the inspect so we can see the source code and show us what it has selected in the UI element selector (under View > UI Elements > Select the Element you want > Right click Edit)

    @Ahammad_Riyaz
    don't forget he/she needs to set focus for text especially before entering keys.  https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-automate/desktop-flows/actions-reference/webautomation#focusbase

    The focus release option in most of the browser automation actions is too short.
    Also depending on the site either emulating keys or not emulating them will produce more reliable results.

    Hello @Nived_Nambiar ,

    I went to the ui element selector but I could not find any information regarding whether or not the selector is dynamic. I am attaching a photo of the html structure of the ui element. It seems that the number associated with the name (-7690 in this case), changes dynamically, which is the reason why power automate is not able to detect the element. I tried experimenting with different JQuery selectors, but I was not able to find a way to make power automate detect the element.

    Hi @OnurOnal

    Could you open the UI element section for PAD for this UI element for this selector

    If you are seeing name attribute in the ui element selector section, then use regular expression option in the attribute by using regex as price\[.\d+\]\[price\]

    something like below

    Hope it helps

    @Nived_Nambiar,

    I tried the following specification but it still does not seem to work.

    Hello @OnurOnal,

    Try to change HTML structure of particular Ui, instead of name there is chance it might get work with class or ordinal position values.

    Hi @AK88

    Instead of that regex , try this

    \[price\].*\[price\]

    Hope it helps !

    @Nived_Nambiar,

    This expression still does not seem to work. I tried using the same regex for the Id instead of Name but in both cases Power Automate is not able to detect the UI element. Could there be another way to select the element without having to refer to the number inside "price?"
