Getting Excel Worksheet from a uploaded file dynamically

Hi all,

I am currently trying to achieve the below actions:

1. Upload excel file to sharepoint in specific folder.

2. Flow trigger when file is created and compare the file if it contains a keyword. Lets say is Target.

3. Get the table in the Excel

4. Create Record in Common Data Service.

I've made a flow that will read the file if I hardcoded the name of the file but what if I would to get the file name dynamically? is it possible?

Any help would be appreciated

best regards,

Helicon

    Hi @Helicon ,

I am afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in Microsoft Flow currently.

The excel connector can only deal with the already exist file.

As the picture shown, you must Select an Excel file through File Browse.

However, when you create this flow, the excel hasn't exist in the SP library.

So you can't get the file through File Browse.

    Hi @v-zhos-msft ,

    Thanks for the clarification.

Now I am trying to achieve the data import action by the CDS data integrator function. I tried the sharepoint online connection but it seems to show tables that built the sharepoint site. I wasnt able to get the excel files in the folder.

    Any ideas? Thanks

    Best regards,

    Helicon

    Hi @Helicon ,

Could you please share a screenshot of your flow's configuration?

Did you already upload the file in the SharePoint library?

It seems you can't get the file via the connector.

I am afraid I need more details to test for you.
