Hi, is it possible to store PAD workflows on the desktop computer?

I want to run a powershell that invokes Power Automate to run a specific workflow every 10 minutes indefinetley but I think the workflow is on the Microsoft cloud  which is the last place aI want it to be. Simply because I have to keep logging into my Microsoft account and defeats the purpose of automation.

There seems to be no option to export the workflow to the desktop.

Anyone?

They are definitely NOT stored in the cloud. Used to be here

    C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Power Automate Desktop\Console\Workspace

But you can customize where it went, but I promise its not in the cloud, that would completely break the entire model of PAD.

If you open PAD and create a flow directly there, then:

It’s saved locally in this folder:
    C:\Users\<your-username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Power Automate Desktop\Flows

BUT it’s also synced to the cloud if you’re signed into PAD with your work/school account and have synced it. That way, you can also trigger it from a cloud flow (like from Power Automate web).

If you want to start a flow from Powershell you can do it this way:

    1) Once you have created the flow, make a shotcut to whereever you want your shortcuts to be.
    2) Run it from powershell using this Start-Process "$env:USERPROFILE\Desktop\Flowname.url"

To create a shortcut to the flow, you have to click on the three dots to the righ of the flow name and select create shortcut

If the flow ask you for permission to run, you can turn it off by

Go to your flow → click on Settings (the gear icon) in the top-right corner

Find the setting “Ask for user consent before running the flow” (or similar)

    Uncheck the box

    Save and close

    Hi,

I will suggest to create a shortcut, that helps your work easy, instead of logging in.
If I have answered your question, please mark it as the preferred solution. If you like my response, please give it a Thumbs Up.
