Flow between Projects and Teams

I am trying to create a flow within Power Automate where if I make a task in Microsoft Projects it automatically makes a Task in "Tasks by Planner to Do", I have gotten as far as the below screen shot but am not getting the error message {"odata.error":{"code":"20010","message":{"lang":"en-US","value":"Access Denied"}}}. Any help would be greatly appreciated.PJ Flow 1.PNG

I have the same question (0)

I'm going to ask an annoying question...why? I mean, the point of the "Tasks by Planner and To Do" app in Teams is to serve as a roll-up of tasks across Planner, To Do and Project. So, they should already be showing up there. Unless you're trying to do something like copying tasks from Project to a Plan so that they can be assigned to users who don't have a Project license. In that case, you'll have two separate, distinct tasks out there (which is never a good idea since only one will ever be completed).

I am having the same issue.  Project assigned tasks do not link with Tasks by Planner.  So right now I have one team working with Planner and another working with Project.  I want to view all my tasks in one place.    We must have found the same directions (https://integent.com/how-to-use-power-automate-to-create-tasks-in-planner-from-new-tasks-created-in-project-online/) but I am continually getting errors with Access Denial.  My IT team has given me permissions so I am not sure how to fix the problem.

Re: Flow between Projects and Teams

When I talked to some of the Planner product team at one of the Ignite conferences (2019, I think), the "Tasks (by Planner and To-do)" app was just starting to show up in preview. They told me that the "big picture" was for that to be like Task central - all your tasks regardless of where they came from (Planner, To-do, Project, etc.). I wouldn't be surprised at all if that changed. The fact that Project's licensing has changed like the weather over the past few years is pretty telling. Integration with the Tasks app probably just got de-prioritized or became more complicated than expected (again, probably due to the licensing aspects). Current documentation for the Tasks app (https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/office/use-the-tasks-app-in-teams-e32639f3-2e07-4b62-9a8c-fd706c12c070) has no mention of Project whatsoever.

Back to the original problem, assuming you have a proper Project license, if you're not able to successfully trigger a flow on creation of a task in a Project to which you have access, I would recommend opening a ticket with MS support.
