Hi, i am trying to run a desktop flow that run successfully in my desktop on a Virtual Machine, I download the app on the VM, and for some reason the flow is failed every time because of different reasons and in different stage of the flow. I try also the "Power Automate Agent" but it doesn't work as well.

I have the same question (0)

are the activities that are failing image based? if so, make sure the image searching algorithm it set to "advanced" they can also fail if the scale & layout of the VM is different to that of the one you took the image in.

Hi, @Pavel_NaNoi , thank you for your answer,

No, the activities that failed aren't Image based just simple action like "Click UI element" or "Set drop down list" .

Apologies for the late response, but how are you running this? i.e.

-Are you running it on the Virtual machine while also looking at it? (so without minimising, attended)

-Are you running it on the Virtual machine without supervision (e.g. via flows, unattended)

    or finally

-Are you running it on the Virtual machine but minimising the Virtual machine screen, resuming work on your personal desktop?

    Possible solutions for each type:

    - If its the un-minimised attended case, then the reason for the failure is probably bad selectors, or wait times, remember the VM doesn't have your PCs specs (I assume) and thus applications may be taking longer to work than usual.

-If its the unattended case, it might be an issue related to how the application works on lower resolution scales, maybe, you'll need to look that one up.

-If its the attended, minimised case, then yes, it will fail like that, you need to instead make the window smaller and not minimise it, should be no issues then. I'm not sure exactly why that works but that's just how it is.
