Export / Create Audit Log to SharePoint (Workflow History)

Hi all.

Backstory: I had a flow that ran perfectly up until December 2018. The purpose of the flow was to purge / delete items that matched or is greater than the purge date. However, on November it decided to delete my entire SharePoint list with all the flow histories gone. I requested my org site admin to review my flow history but he didn't answer back. Since then, the flow works as intended.

Since the flow history is saved for 30 days only and I know I can export my flow history manually, but is it possible to create a flow history within my flow or somehow capture flow id and save it to my SharePoint? If possible, the custom flow history / audit log would process something like this:

1. Create CSV Table

2. For each item, capture event status (Succeed, Failed - with error code)

3. Capture Flow ID

4. Capture Flow runtime

5. Create File to SPO with timestamp

My flow history will then be used in a Power BI report.

Thanks for the support!

    Hi @hnguy71 ,

When a flow runs, you could take a try to get the flow id refer to link below and then you could save it to your sharepoint :

    https://veenstra.me.uk/2018/06/19/microsoft-flow-which-flow-ran-on-my-item/

However, if you want to get all flow id from a flow run history,I afraid that there is no any way to achieve it.
