Issue Creating SharePoint List Items

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by 7

Unable to create a flow that adds an item to the list.

Steps Followed:

  1. Templates
  2. Button Template
  3. Select, "Keep track of anything using a SharePoint List"
  4. Add the site address in the following format: https://mycompanyname.sharepoint.com/teams/sitename/subsitename
  5. Add the list name... This case "_TestFlowList"

Outcome:

  • Error displays at this point, looks to be tied to the List Name field. I receive this error under the List name when click the down carrot next to the list name: "Could not retrieve values. Value cannot be null. Parameter name: accessToken"
  • It also displays in red under the Create Item Action Step Header, "Value cannot be null. Parameter name: accessToken

Please Help!

    Hi Voodoo_Bantu,

I start a flow using this template “Keep track of anything using a Sharepoint list”:
    https://flow.microsoft.com/en-us/galleries/public/templates/83be9300071211e7a64d3bb26b42c7f5/keep-track-of-anything-using-a-sharepoint-list/

When configuring the flow, I enter the URL of the SubSite to the Site Address field, I don’t get any error message and when I click the button, the flow runs succeed.

Please check if the connection with SharePoint is properly connected, and also make sure you are using the right Site URL.

Please try again with it. Please feel free post back if you are still getting the issue.

    Best regards,
    Mabel Mao

So that was basically it. The issue was with the connection to sharepoint. I hadn't realized there was a seperate place so manage this and all connections. When i signed in again there, it worked!

To get to the connections, i clicked on the "gear" then on connections.

It seems that when i reset my password, i maybe have to reset for the O365 services connections...

    Hi Voodoo_Bantu,

I am glad to hear that it is working for you now.

And as you said, you may have to update or recreate the connections once you reset the password.

BTW, any time you got issues when work with Microsoft Flow, welcome post your issues here, we are always ready to help.

    Best regards,
    Mabel Mao
