Hi,

I am trying to create a flow that archives items in a sharepoint list older than 1 year, and move them to a duplicate list thats an archive and hidden.

When I run the flow the error message I am getting is from the Person field.

What can I do to make it an editable field to migrate over to the new list? Thanks.

    Hi @OfficerOrifice ,

    Could you share the screenshots of your flow?

    Best Regards,

    Hi,

    yeah sure, its a monthly recurring flow that would move items older than 365 days to another list

    addDays(utcNow(),-365,'yyyy-MM-dd')

    Is your HostedBy column a multiple person type field? - Allow multiple selections has been checked to Yes?

    If yes, then you may want to add a "Select" action and isolate email address from your HostedBy column from your LIVE VISITOR LIST

    And then use output of the "Select" action to populate the Archive list column.

    Select action will be inside Apply to each before Create item

    See https://tomriha.com/how-to-select-specific-values-from-an-array-in-power-automate/ which gives an overview of this concept.

    Yes HostedBy is a multiple person column and yes 'Allow Multiple Selections' has been checked.

    I have created a select now and placed it before the create item, but now when i reference it in the create item I get an error message saving the flow

    Flow save failed with code 'InvalidTemplate' and message 'The template validation failed: 'The inputs of template action 'Create_item' at line '1 and column '1585' is invalid. Action 'ATE-Select' must be a parent 'foreach' scope of action 'Create_item' to be referenced by 'repeatItems' or 'items' functions.'.'.

    This is the select process, PA keeps creating an apply to each within itself automatically, then can't save because it's not referencing a parent action? is what I am getting from it.

    See screenshot above from a working Flow for getting array of email address per List item:

    Update your Select action to below

    From: item()?['HostedBy']
    Map: item()?['Email']

    Unfortunately I still get the same error message, i can see from your image it looks like you only have 1 Apply to Each for the select, whereas whenever I create it and select the value for Get Items it adds an additional ATE
