Power Automate - Refresh a dataset - Workspace Name Dynamic ?

I have recently setup a Power Automate Flow that refreshes a PowerBI dataset used by a report, added a button in the PowerBI Desktop report and published to a Test Workspace

Everything works great

But when I deploy this report into the Production Workspace through the PowerBI Pipeline deployment the Workspace name does not change in the Flow

So when the flow is executed by pressing the button in the report in the Production Workspace it refreshes the dataset in the Test Workspace 😞

Does anyone know how this can be managed without having to amend the report to use a different flow for the Production dataset once published into the Production workspace ?

Is there a way to make the Workspace name dynamic and use the workspace the report is within ?

Thanks

Rebecca

It doesn't appear as though the button is currently passing the workspace, might be worth an idea on ideas.powerautomate.com or ideas.powerbi.com. As for your current issue, can't you just change the workspace name from the action card drop down?

Yes we can change the report to use a different flow once deployed to the production workspace, but with segregation of duties and different people developing the reports to those deploying following successful UAT it would mean them knowing the report contains a flow and then an additional action after deployment to work through all reports and change the flows, a time consuming and manual tasks, which is what we are trying to minimise with using automation flows

change the flow not the report,. If the same flow is called by multiple reports it is much easier to update the flow not the reports. It's still a manual task that most would rather not do, so it would be nice to have the flow update along with the deployment pipeline, but you'll have to search the ideas forums to see if the idea is there and being worked or submit a new idea.

you might be able to pull it off by embedding a power app inside a power bi report. You'll have to google to see if there is a way for power bi report to have context to it's workspace id in terms of being able to create a dax column.  If you can get the workspace details into the body of the report, you should be able to pass it into the power app to trigger a flow where the workspace is a variable value.

Thanks @srduval for the suggestions, I will research and see if I can use the power app idea

I am new to using flows & apps so might take me a little time to respond with my results
