Fill out MS Forms, Update the Excel sheet (Status column) to DONE, and Post a message in Teams Chat

Hi!

Just new here in Power Automate and we want to build 2 flows:

1. After filling out the MS Form, the Excel sheet is updated, and post a message in Teams chat.

UPDATE: right now, the message is being posted but we wanted to enhance the message by pulling the details from the updated excel sheet from Forms and including it into the chat:

2. Once the specific row has updated STATUS column to DONE, another automation will run to post a teams chat with the details of that specific row where I put the DONE cell.

Hope someone helps! Thank you everyone!

    Hi @Anonymous

If you want to send the updated information to Teams after updating the row, you can create an html table, then send message. I set up a flow, you can refer to the figure below:

In my test, Program Title matches in excel and Form.

After flow runs, my channel will receive a message like this:

Regarding your second Flow, MS Flow does not support similar triggers to monitor whether Excel tables have changed. If you want similar features to be supported by MS Flow, please consider voting for similar idea:

Hope the content above may help you.

    Best Regards

    Hi Lily!

I've tried to run the flow based on the screenshots you've presented and yielded a "FALSE" return on the condition. I have additional questions on your flow:

    1. May I know what is listed on the "List rows present in a table" action? I used the Excel sheet associated to the MS Form and upon checking the result, since the form is regularly updated, the output of the action consists of a large array, or is it normal?

    2. On the "Condition" action, what are the variables set for the condition? Program Title on the excel "is equal to" Program Title on the Form

    3. On the "Update a row" action, what are the variables that need to be set?

    Thank you!
