Approval template

I am brand new to Power Automate and my boss has asked to create a request for Purchase approval flow.

I have set up a flow using an existing template.

I want to set up the following actions: when a document *.doxc or *.pdf is added to a SharePoint folder, send an email to the approver and if Ok then move the file to another folder.  I am struggling with the second step "get file content" it's asking for the site address and the file identifier?

I have added the default site URL and used the following file identifier because I don't know any better:  /Shared Documents/Purchasing/Requested/Document.docx.

I have completed the rest of the flow and when I test it doesn't do anything or error. Can you help, please?

    Hi @ninjin ,

Please try setting up the below flow from scratch:

the getFileContent should have the site address and the file identifier is the identifier which is the output from the trigger.  triggerOutputs()?['body/{Identifier}']

Once you have the file content you can then use it in Create file action to create the file in another document library.

(You can also consider Copy file/Move file action)

The flow should trigger when a new file is uploaded in the original document Library and the file will be present in the destination doc-lib once it is Approved!

     Thanks and Regards,

           Vikas K

    Hi ViIkas,

"I am brand new to Power Automate" no experience what so ever (not a coder).

“the getFileContent should have the site address and the file identifier is the identifier which is the output from the trigger.  triggerOutputs()?['body/{Identifier}']”

Quoting code to me means nothing, how do I find/get the File identifier.

I was told that these flows would be straight forward to set up and that I didn’t need any coding skills that is obviously incorrect!
