I have one trigger phrase that is in multiple topics but when you type that phrase it does not see or present that topic as an option to choose from. Anyone else have this issue?
Can you provide an example? You can't duplicate a trigger phrase in multiple topics. Each trigger phrase needs to be unique so the AI can determine which topic to invoke.
I use the same trigger phrase in multiple topics all the time and then it asks you which topic do you want to choose. In this case it is only giving me 3 of the 4 options. I have attached an example on how it prompts me to choose which topic I want.
When PVA isn't sure what topic to trigger, it will throw a "Did You Mean" and will present the top matching topics. I'm assuming it only shows the top 3 topics to the user. What you can do to work around this is to create a disambiguation topic, i.e. 1 topic with the "Cancer" trigger phrase, and in that topic ask a question with the 4 options, and redirect user to the relevant topic based on their answer.
So you are using the same word as part of trigger phrases in multiple topics, not the same phrase. That's not quite the same thing. But I suspect your issue is with capitalization. I know the documentation says that trigger phrases are case insensitive, but in my experience they aren't always. I always stick to keeping the trigger phrases all in lowercase. That seems to pick up lower case or upper case input. But having the first letter capitalized will often missmatch the trigger phrase. Try converting "Cancer History" to "cancer history". See if that doesn't help. I suspect the problem is capitalization not that the word Cancer is used in multiple places.
How can I redirect to another topic? I don't know how to do that. Any directions would be helpful.
Create one topic that has all 4 keywords in it and remove them from the other existing topics. Then do this in that one topic.
Once the choice is made you will have conditions for each choice. You can then use the redirect to go to the topic that matches.
thank you so much. Perfect solution.
