flow to auto send an email if a dataverse table choice field has not been modified in 3 days.

I want a flow to auto send an email if a dataverse table choice field has not been modified in 3 days.

So i set up a flow that is triggered when a row is added or modified -> 1st condition checks the field-> delay 3 days -> 2nd condition checks the field again -> send email

Question is, how do i get the 2nd condition to check the dataverse table and not the triggerbody again, which is the old /initial row, and wont check if the field was changed.

    Hi @Boppersnr1 ,

You can get the row again after 3days and compare it with initial value in triggerBody.

    Something just like this.

Thanks @v-mengmli-msft  but when I look to add a 'Get a Row by ID', the only option is to add the same field from the trigger and not a new one direct from the dataverse table. The issue is that it keeps the old data and not checking for any changes.

How can I get it to add a fresh view from the table and not from the trigger data?

    Hi @Boppersnr1 ,

Are you confused with Row ID field? It should be identifier of each entity, please find dynamic content likes below red marked and insert it in Row ID field.

In addition, what does this mean? I'm little confused.

If you want your flow works like this, I think the method should work.

1.One column changed triggers the flow.

2.The changed column will be got again after 3 days.

3.Compare previous value and current value, if they are same, then send an email.

    @v-mengmli-msft

My problem is that even after the column changes in the system (before the delay is over), its still says the columns are the same as when it was triggered. Could the 'Get a row by ID' be taking the value from the original trigger value and not going back out to the dataverse table to check. There is no dynamic content that doesn't come from the original 'When a row is added, deleted or modified' trigger.

    Hi @Boppersnr1 ,

Do you mean that get original value before the change? I'm afraid it doesn't support, because dynamic content of trigger just saves current value including newest changed value not original value. Another way is to add a column in your table saves original value. Then get the original value from the added column to compare with the changed value.

No not original value, the latest value.

I change the value during the delay but the second condition still thinks the data is when it was triggered. so no difference and gives proceeds to send the email.

I am not sure why it wasn't working for me the 1st time. but I redid the flow as per your guidance and it worked. Thanks you so much. @v-mengmli-msft
