IDWEB - Adding users to security group

(3) ShareShare

Hi - Im trying to automated the process of adding users to the security group.
Below is the workflow

> Users add there aliases in to sharepoint form, along with business justification on why they need access

> We/admins check the justification and the access which they are requesting for

> add the users to the respective security group by going to idweb

Is there a way i can automate the process to approving and deny this

What im looking for is

> if a user submits a request in sharepoint

> im looking for an option to approve or deny

> Once i approve the user should be added to the respective security group.

    Hi @Siraj,

Could you please show a bit more about IDWEB?

I could not find connector about IDWEB in Microsoft Flow, adding the users to the respective security group of idweb is not supported in Microsoft Flow.

Besides, we can automate the process of Approve or Reject in Microsoft. I made a test on my side for adding user to Azure group of Azure Active Directory as a reference, please refer to the following configuration of flow:

    1. Add “When an item is created” trigger of SharePoint.
    2. Add “Start an approval” action, configure Approval type to Anyone from the assigned list, Assigned to set to Approver’s email address.
    3. Add a Condition, left input parameter set to Response content of “Start an approval” action, right input parameter set to Approve, in middle drop down, choose is equal to.
    4. Within “if/yes” branch, add “Add user to group” action. We must specify User Id and Group Id. Besides, if you use Office365 account to create the group, the user must exist in same organization, otherwise, the user could not be added into the group.

The flow works successfully as below:4.JPG

    Best regards,

    Kris

    Thanks for the reply -
https://idweb/identitymanagement/default.aspx is the security page where we add users to

I believe azure active directory does not work in this condition.

Im also working around this limitation by creating a flow as below
    image.png

    >When an item id created in sharepoint form it copies that to my excel file localy on my machine

    > Then using schedule i will trigger this email once in two days to the other team who updates the permissions

So instead of copy pasting each aliases, i will use this excel file as a builk upload and upload them once in 2days

The issue which im facing here is, i recieve the email but i cant open the attachement. i get the below error.

Below is the config which i have used
