desktop flow failing when run by a cloud flow

I am hoping for some guidance or help from a kind guru on the problems we are having with the power flows we are using. A small company with big ideas so we decided to use MS office to its full capabilities – well as far as we could.

The power flows have been superb for many of the standard business processes but we have problems with the 3 RPA extracts from the main databases we use. The extracts are timed to run sequentially at midnight with a recovery for each extract running from 3:00am which simply checks the tracking log to see what has failed and completes a rerun of any failures. The flows are basically a simple ‘at midnight run a desktop flow’ - can’t make it any simpler than that - We have a 95% failure on these extracts – both the main and the recovery extracts fail virtually every night (cannot find sign in button) but not always. At roughly 8:00am I will put the kettle on and then check then check for any failures (check my emails for completions) – if errors found I simply open the laptop and click the run (the triangle icon) button on the desktop app (same ones that are called by the cloud flow at midnight or 3:00am) and go and have my coffee and get showered – come back and all has completed correctly and all dependant cloud flows have been run. We have tried changing the timing to run at 2:00am but same result.

Anybody got any ideas?

I would recommend having the bot capture screenshots before steps 5 and 8. That way you know what state the bot is in when it's attempting those steps. Depending on what you find, maybe you need to add some wait time or retries, or possible modify the selector some.

Been away for a few days and we have had a couple of technical issues but eventually I got the screen shots yesterday and they were what I would have expected but this morning the screenshot for the button I was trying to click was totally wrong and explains why this is not working, I will go in and change how the process works works as there is another business sequence that can be used. Many thanks for the suggestion - worked well.
