Update Project Online Tasks

Hi,

I'm building an integration between Project Online and Azure DevOps. I have experience working with the Azure DevOps API so shouldn't be an issue but getting stuck working with Project values.

I'm trying to update the values of specific tasks under a specific project but so far with no success.

The closest I've come is using the 'update item' for sharepoint at which point I get the error of:

"This list is currently being managed by Project Web App, and cannot be edited directly"

Anyone have an experience with this or any ideas?

Thanks,
Sam

@Brad_Groux Thanks and yes I have seen the connector but unfortunately it is fairly limited and does not have a action for 'update a task' which is what I'm trying to acheive.

We have been able to perform some actions on Project items using the 'HTTP Request to Sharepoint' action. For example in the call below we check out the project:

We have not though been able to find the correct syntax to update a task.

    Thanks,

    Sam

    Re: Update Project Online Tasks

As the Troubleshooting a Flow documentation points out, a 400 error code is a Bad request or a Not found. Your reason for receiving this error is that because while Project Web App sits on top of SharePoint, it is it's own web application.

So, you should be utilizing the Project Online connector, as Project Online and Project Web App are one in the same. Any items you are accessing will be managed under the Project Web App service, which is why the Project Online connector must be used.
