My Problem:
I just migrated an WinAutomate Flow to a PAD Flow.
I got some errors, but mostly I could resolve them.
The only thing that I got now is that when I try to encrypt my variables it causes an error.
Is that a bug or do I make anything wrong?
Sorry for my German version 🙂
I try to explain whats happening (see pictures below):
Line 48: Setting Var called "ReiseDatum" to String "06.12.2020"
Line 49: Just a message to prove if the var is set correctly
Line 50: AES encryption of the Var "ReiseDatum"
Line 50 Fails. The second picture shows the configuration of the AES encryption action.
It feels like a bug, but I am no Pro in encryption kind of things. Would be happy to get some Feedback.
Configuration:
Windows 10
Starting Power Automate Desktop locally
PowerAutomate Desktop Version:
2.3.2121.23000 (just installed today)
Clue: The encryption key as a direct or as a variable, can only be numbers. It does not say it in any reference page or documentation.
Good luck.
Hey Mike,
I tried this easier example and it worked. So it seems that it has to do something with the migration itself that causes that problem.
When Microsoft updated PAD and the migrator I will try it again and see if this happens again. Thanks for your time. Ill keep you updated!
Hi,
It's very strange, my version just installed today and it is the same from yours. It works just fine for me. see the image in below. I used the same text you sent before and they key is just simple text and number.
Can you try it again with a very simple flow?
Thanks and hope it can help you.
Mike
