Copy files from sharePoint to local system at specific time (once per day)

Hi Experts,

I am completely new to Power Automate, I need help to copy the files from the SharePoint site to the local system it has to all the files (.xlsx, .csv, .txt files) and load them to the local server folder path.

I see some examples for when a file created there is a download option, however, I don't anything to download from SharePoint based on the specified time (for example 2 pm every day the files have to download).

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Hello @Anonymous

You could do the following steps:

    1) For each day at 2PM.

    2) SharePoint Get files

    3) For each file

    4) File System -> Copy File

    Hope it helps!

    Hello @Anonymous

In the following article there is an excellent example of wha you want to do: Microsoft Flow Example: Copy Files from SharePoint to PC - SPGuides

You should install On-Premise Gateway on the local computer where the files are going to be stored, since it will allow Power Automate to copy those files from SharePoint. In the following link you will find a step by step on how to install the On-Premise Gateway: On-premises Data Gateway Installation and Configuration for Microsoft Flow - EnjoySharePoint

    Hope it helps!

    Hello @Anonymous

Before creating the file in the file system, you should get the file content of the SharePoint item:

    copyFile01.png

You could create the file in the file system with the file content.

    Hope it helps!

    Hello @Anonymous

You should check if the item is a folder or not:

    Hi Ferran @fchopo,

Thank you for your solution. It helped me with my problem as well.

I just wanted to ask if there's a workflow we can use to download files from different folders in SharePoint? Or do we have to use multiple workflows for each file located in a different folder?

    TIA 🙂
