No feature like Take a screenshot or take remote control while a flow is being executed in unattended mode. Any future plans to implement similar kind of feature

Hello Team,

I have been a prior user of Process studio and now we are into migration phase of our processes to PAD. The feature of taking a screenshot / remote control present in process studio while a process is being executed is not available in Power automate.

My question is, are we going to see such kind of feature in Power Automate in coming future, as it would be a huge advantge

PAD has got "Take Screenshot". I've used it for debugging unattended Desktop Flows too. Is this what you are lookng for?

@DamoBird365 , I am aware of "Take Screenshot" action, but my ask is when a flow is In progress (Running), I dont see any mechanism where I could possibly know at what step my flow is currently or is it stuck in an infinite loop. I just have to wait for it to complete its execution or let it fail.

Just wanted to know if we have any feature where I can track the current steps of a flow being executed. Hope this clears my question.

A few tips here.

You could create a sub flow to run on error and take a screenshot.

From the Power Automate Portal, you can check on Desktop Flows and view the action that the PAD RPA has failed at, albeit it's not great as you cannot rename your actions in PAD, so make sure you add comment lines to give yourself an indication where it has failed.

Once an unattended flow has been triggered, you can connect and watch via RDP. If you connect with RDP prior to a trigger, you will block the flow from running, but if you connect once the flow has triggered, you can watch as if it was attended. This is assuming you are using Windows Server / VM.
