Sharepoint shared library

Hi,

Is there a way to link a folder (or library) with documents to different SharePoint sites within an organization? I have one folder with many documents that apply to various teams, and I would like each team to be able to access that folder from within their own site, without clicking a link that brings them to a different site.

For example, let's say there is a folder called "Folder X" with documents "A," "B," and "C" inside. I would like Folder X to be viewable from SharePoint 1's library, SharePoint 2's, and SharePoint 3's, so a member of any of these teams can edit and save document A within their site, as opposed to following a link to a different site.

I asked this question on the Microsoft community board, and they suggested it may be done with Power Automate, and to ask here. Thanks!

Here is a post where someone else asked a similar question -> Solved: Sync two folders in different Sharepoints - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)

    Hi @carissaarowan,

I understand what you mean, but there is not such link available winthin Sharepoint world. Links refers only to one that make you jump to the destination and where you need at least read permissions.

As you're using team, you can use shared channel, but channel belongs to the team it is created to.

Using power automate, you can copy file to any location you want. let imagine 3 teams: Bid department, purchasing department  and IT. Bid managers create a document in their team and you want that bid being readable by the 2 other departments without sharing teams, then you could copy that file into both other teams.

You can automate this behavious using trigger like "When a file is created", "When a file is modiffied" or When a file is created or modifed".

[Edit] @365-Assist responded more quickly with a link to a concrete case 🙂
