download file from website

Hey Guys,

I just started using Power Automate Desktop (=PAD) today so I'm very new to this.

I wanted to experiment with an automated process which contains the following items

1. Open a website

2. Go to a subfolder within the website

3. Select a few files on the website

4. Download those files

and so for so good....

Here is where it fails, when I download the files my chrome browser automatically opens an extra option at the bottom of my screen with a few options on what I want to do with the download.

When I use the option Desktop recorder I thought I could record my actions and integrate them in my flow and it looks like it does just that.

However when I play the flow it always fails at that point, it's like that option is in a different layer or something.

I've tried to capture the button as an UI-element and incorporate it in my flow but again, it doesn't work, it keeps saying it can't find the button.

Am I using the correct function for this or am I doing it all wrong

I have the same question (0)

That may be chrome behavior. Can you try it using Microsoft Edge?

If you were able to successfully capture the button, but it doesn't seem to be working, it may be a windows UI instead of a web UI, try "click on windows element" instead of "click on web button".

If you don't have any luck there, use "click on image" to click on that, choose your save option, and continue from there.

    Good luck!

Could you provide a picture of these extra options?

You can try 'Send keys' actions (with Tab and Enter depending on options available) to select the right option.

Be sure to use 'Focus windows' action and select the Chrome window prior to 'Send keys'.

Goodday, sorry for the late reply but I was on vacation 🙂

Funny thing is that I'm running the script in PAD om my 3rd screen and when my Browser is on my 1st screen my flow works but when my Browser (=Chrome) is running on my 2nd screen than is returns an error because it can't find the Refresh button in the browser

At my work I'm using 3 screens and that seems to give a few problems, is there anyway to fix that ?
