Show number of cases assigned to a person in PowerApps

Hello Community,

I'm using SharePoint as a data source.  In Sharepoint, I can group the list by employee.  When I do this, it groups cases that are assigned to each employee and in parenthesis it gives me the number of cases assigned per employee.

How can I do this in PowerAPPS?

My screen has a list of new requests that have been submitted by the customer.  I added a container in order to view the number of cases already assigned to my employees.  I added a gallery and connected my data source.  What is the formula to achieve the above?

Can you help me?

You can use the GroupBy() function to group your data by employee and use the CountRows() to give a count of the items they have.  In the screenshot, the outer gallery shows the sales data grouped by Product and the RestOfData is in the inner gallery and CountRows is used to show how many rows are in the RestOfData.

@Drrickryp would you mind posting the complete string?

@Drrickryp never mind.  I see it in the pic.  My column isn't populating.  Not sure why.  Do you have any input?

Check out the documentation on the GroupBy() function here. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/functions/function-groupby
