Time off approval process

Hi All,

I'm fairly new to power autommate so if I need to be in a different forum let me know but I'm trying to build a flow.

General premise - SP List request that provides request days/type and goes to Teams for approval by the selected manager.  Teams approval request comes in displaying the details. Manager approves in Teams and email gets generated back to requestor with status.  also, the item's status in SP gets updated.  Rejections can happen too but I'm not interested in that side of the condition yet.  attached photos below with error messages.  any help is appreciated!

Note, with my current flow, I do get an email and a Teams approval notification that a request has been submitted.  However, when I approve the request, it dies there

What are you using "Apply to Each 3" to do?

The reason it doesn't work is because you are using the values from the Manager in the "Apply to Each 3" and then have another "Apply to each" doing something.

That is not going to work. I don't know what you are doing in Apply to Each 3, but I know you aren't doing multiple apply to each off a value selected in a sharepoint. Don't worry if it doesn't really make sense, I just know it won't work.

Will this request always go to a single manager? Are there multiple approver levels?

Because this is a relatively simple flow, I put it into the Power Automate generator with AI. I described the flow and it provided the following.

"When a new item is created in a SharePoint list, send an Approval request to the manager selected in the item. The Manager approves and an email gets generated back to requestor with status. The item status is updated in the SharePoint list."

Thank you!  sounds like I can get rid of that potentially and simplify it.  and I didn't know about the AI generator so thnks for that as well
and to answer your question, it will go to either myself or another manager depending on who the individual contributor is as a choice for the individual contributor.  I haven't built anything into the SP list to generate a selection based on who the employee is.  That's the ManagerEmail value it is referencing.  not sure if that changes anything
