Hi,

I tried to get items from SharePoint list with Person Type.

But it returns blank value.

However, if i get item from sharePoint list with Text/String Type .

Everything is normal.

Is there any trick to get the Person type?

    Hi @samsam

From what I can find because the column is a person field, you need to be able to access the child properties of the Applicant field, such as the EMail address.

In testing I couldn't find a way to filter based on the display name the only field that I could filter on was the email address. Given that you are trying to search based on the persons name you could do a search on the users name with the Search for Users action, then get the email from the results and apply the filter on that. Hopefully this helps

its been a bit buggy lately did you try a second time? If its still not working just insert mail as dynamic content, you will get a loop but it'll only run once anyway assuming two users do not have the same name then you'll end up with the last one it retrieves.

It looks like you have the correct expression. I was trying to just get the email address returned from the first record returned.

Unless there are no records been returned.

If you were to leave that step out and just run a test do you see the body object in the Dynamic Content tab from the Search for Users results

It looks like an issue with the connector for the Search for Users, not with the query

In the past when I have had a similar error it has been because I have tried to do a test based on a previous run just after adding a new connector. To fix this normally I would just perform the test again and select the option "I'll perform the trigger action" then it creates the connections automatically, however given that this is from PowerApps I'm not 100% sure if it works the same

You may be able to add the connection manually, by clicking on the 3 dots at the top right of the action and selecting add a connection

The search user and variable has been configured.

however, the "Get Items" value still return nothing. Same as before.

    Any idea?

    Thanks

It looks like the Filter Query is incorrect

It should be using the email address to find the user

I think in your one the filter should be Applicant/EMail eq 'email variable'

@Gareth1 Just update it to email address, and assigned to variable "vApplicant"

however, in "get items" step, it still returns nothing
