Hi Guys,
I have created an approval flow which works fine (Sharepoint list, new request submitted), this sends out an approve action via maaccount@microsoft.com to the manager to approve and completes the action by selecting Approve / Decline which is all good.
BUT I do not get an email back from powerapps@microsoft.com or maaccount@microsoft.com to say the request has been approved / declined but the email is from myself (the creator of the flow). Can this be changed to remove myself from the process. I have gone into advanced settings of the flow "inform item creator of the approval" and inputted an address but still the emails show from myself.
see image below because as all accross the organisation the person waiting for the approval / decline is getting an update back from my own email address instead of a system one like "powerapps@microsoft.com"
Hi @chsanche
Thanks for the response, I double checked the flow and I am actually using this mail connector already instead of the outlook connector as per image of the flow below. Any suggestions of is there an other older version (V2 or V1) connector i could use instead. I know best practice is to use the new version of a connector.
any advice appreciated.
Hi @Anonymous
Do you have an action in your Flow to send the result of the approval to the user? If this is the case, the actions run under the context of the user that runs the Flow, if you have a Send an email action then this will be sent from your account. If you don't want this to be tied to your account, you should be using the Mail connector instead of the Outlook connector:
Best Regards
