Model Driven App Allowing Filters for End User

Hi. A vendor built a basic model driven app for CRM use. I am learning the system and understand how to build views. What I don't understand is how to control the options users have to filter by. For example, three columns 1. Status 2. State 3. Owner

1. Status - Users go into the app and hit the drop down to filter, Equals, they then have the option to select options with checkboxes, multiple choice. Active, Inactive, Pending, etc.

2. State - Users go into the app and hit the drop down, Equals, but can only type in what they want, like "California" and can only type in one and cannot view multiple.

3. Owner - Same as status, but no check box. They then select each name, and it adds those in.

I looked all over and do not see where these settings are to modify.

The options that users have to filter by in a model-driven app are determined by the metadata of the entities and fields that you are working with.

Status: The filter options for the Status field are determined by the options that are available in the Status field of the entity. In order to modify these options, you will need to go to the entity in the solution where the Status field is located, and edit the field by adding or removing options.
State: The filter options for the State field are determined by the data type of the field. It is a string field, so the filter options are limited to the "Equals" and "Does not equal" operators, and the user can only type in one value. If you want to allow users to select multiple options, you could consider creating a picklist field with the states as options and use that field for filtering instead.
Owner: The filter options for the Owner field are determined by the data type of the field. It's likely a look up field that allows to select multiple values.
You may need to have the access to the solution where the entities are located and the permission to edit the fields to make the changes that you want. If you don't have the permission please reach out to the person who have the permission or the vendor who built the app.
Please note that, depending on the complexity of the app, it may be more difficult to make changes to the filters than you expect.
