Formatting hyperlinks in a planner task description field

I'm aware that you can use markdown in approval tasks to format them, is there a way to do this with the planner task details update action when updating the description/notes?

Basics like bolding, hyperlinking is what I am after. Or is there a way to use the reg-ex to do it?

    Always print plain text.

Couple years late, but I'm seeing this issue too. Markdown works when manually typing into planner, but when you paste a block of text, whether from Power Automate or just your clipboard, it does not recognize the markdown and does not format.
