Replacing condition steps with switches but when I save/refresh, the conditions are still there though I just deleted them. Thought flow was supposed to be more intuitive than the old workflows but aside from the cosmetically "modern" ui, it actually takes longer to deal with all the bugs / quirks. No way this is ready for "citizen developers as Msft claims.
On a side note this forum sucks as well- - even though I'm signed in, when I go to post it asks me to sign in again and deletes the post.

As a test, could you delete the conditions, than save and run your Flow.
It sounds like you're exiting the Flow to early before the save is complete.
I am unable to replicate this,
Please upload some screenshots to better understand this.
