Hi I have a question, how does publishing a chatbot, which uses SharePoint for generative answers and requires authentication, to Microsoft Teams affect the authentication process? Specifically, given the documentation indicates the necessity for the bot to authenticate with SharePoint, does publishing the bot to Teams alter or override this authentication requirement? Can I use AAD authentication and still publish the bot in teams?
Just publishing to Teams would not be sufficient for Gen Answers over SharePoint to work. Without setting the necessary app registration configurations, copilot studio will not get the access token from Teams required for delegated authentication.
So if I set the necessary app registration and set up manual authentication I can publish the bot inside teams and it will be able to pull out information from SharePoint?
Yes, exactly.
Thank you!
