Powerapps Dropdown menu not recording into Sharepoint List

I have a Powerapps form that records data from a dropdown into a SharePoint list, but there is an error with my SharePoint list not recording the data from one of my dropdowns that is pulling values from an excel file instead of the original SharePoint list.

 

The formula I'm using for that drop-down menu is: EmployeeList.employee_formatted_name.

Please advise how to record the input from this drop-down menu to the Sharepoint list. The SharePoint list currently doesn't contain that field/column.
