Connect Power Apps to Azure VM with a SQL server instance installed

We are trying to make a data connection to in Power APP to a Azure VM with SQL server Installed and not having any luck.

    Can you describe the steps that you've carried out so far? Have you installed the on-prem gateway on the Azure VM?
