Set the default value of a ComboBox in a form

My form has a ComboBox, among other fields.

 

All the fields display the Default value, as "ThisItem.Column"

 

Except the ComboBox. The ComboBox is empty.

 

The DefaultSelectedItems and the Default properties are filled exactly like the other fields.

 

But it doesn't matter. The ComboBox is empty.

 

Is this normal? What kind of trick do we have to implement in these cases?

    What is the DefaultSelectedItems (DSI) property and the Items property of your combobox?

    If it is something like Parent.Default, then what is the underlying column type for the combobox in your datasource?

    Hi @WebPortal,

    DefaultSelectedItems property helps the Combo Box display the default value when there is nobody interact with the Combo Box.

    The Default property of the Data Card means that the control within the data card display each field value in a record when the form in edit mode.

     

    How to set the DefaultSelectedItems property of the Combo Box depends on how you set the Items property of the Combo Box and what column you populate the Combo Box with.
