Hello everyone,
I want to transform my excel macros into power apps. Can some one please help in suggesting the way and approach or any architecture diagram like how it can be transformed so that I can proceed in the right direction?

Thanks for your help in advance.

    Hi @paras_bangde

I was an Excel macro developer now turned PowerApps developer. I have converted 3 excel applications into PowerApps and I would say first, understand how your macro works and then do a new PowerApps app from scratch because you are creating it in a different platform.

Few things I would suggest when converting Excel macros to PowerApps.

    1) Do not try to recreate your Excel macro exactly as it is. PowerApps is much richer in capabilities in terms of features so try to see what limitations in your Excel macro can be solved in PowerApps.
    2) Refrain from using Excel as a data source. Use SharePoint instead.
    3) Watch out for delegation limits. If your Excel app has big sets of data, be wary of limitations of some functions in PowerApps regarding record limits. Example: A Search function on its own may not work correctly if it is searching more than 2000 records. But workarounds are possible.
