How to change field automatically when another changes.

I have a sharepoint list that is being used as an issues log. We would like to record the status of the issues as well as the resolved date associated.

Can the date be automatically entered when the status is changed to "resolved" or can the status (choice field) be updated to "resolved" when a date is entered?

    Hi @EMA03356 ,

    You can do that by creating a calculated column in your SharePoint list.  Go to list settings, add a calculated column and use the following formula:

    =IF(Status="resolved",TODAY(),"")
