An Incredibly Odd Submit Form complication

Hi,

I was hoping someone could help me with a strange issue I have. I have an app. Myself and all other users bar one are using it fine.

The app logs Incidents. The first page has the opening of the incident form and the the second page has a form to detail the investigation and change the status to the issue.

The problem I have is, this user cannot submit the first form (initial record form). He has access to the SP list and can edit it. The second form (Completion form) that continues to completion and is connected to the same datasource, he can submit without issue.

It's the standard error, network patching, that shows, suggesting that he hasn't access to the datasource which isn't the case.

This is on my submit button:

If(Form1.Valid, SubmitForm(Form1), Notify("Ayup, Thas Forgotten A Field Ya Daft Apeth", NotificationType.Error));
If(Form1.Valid, ResetForm(Form1))

Any ideas??

    Hello @MJS1987

Do you prefill the form with data? Maybe there are fields that are empty or wrong type of data are filled.

I usually encounter this on Person fields, LookUp fields that uses ComboBox control.

    Hiya,

    Thanks for responding.

Here's the thing. I should have mentioned. I remoted in and filled his form myself, the error was there and wouldn't submit. I filled it out on my own, the exact same way all the same details and submitted fine. Then I asked someone else to fill it out, and they submitted it fine.

I'm really scratching my head with this one

It's a bit hard to assess since I don't have access to your code.

Additional thing you can do is trace the error by using Monitor function.

    1. Open App Details > Monitor

    2. Wait for it to load and "Connect to User"

    3. Search for that User and run the provided like on your remote session with the user.

    4. As you try to reproduce the issue, look in the Monitor log (on your device, refer to step 1) where there is an error and look at the Request and Response tab. This usually contains a more detailed version of the error.

    Hiya,

Apologies for the delay, I could only contact the user today.

Thanks for the insight into the monitoring tool. That has been really helpful. here's a section of the monitoring data that is relevent to the issue...

It seems to be an issue with the format of the URL. It's just odd that this isn't an issue for anyone else and he can amend an entry in the SP list through the app but cannot add a new one.

We have tried two separate browsers and on two separate machines and I have removed him from the SP list and re-added him.
