Hello Community, I want to paste a Powerapp1 into a new Powerapp2. The App1 is quite extensive and I don't want to copy it 1:1 because it would take a long time. I have tried copy paste and it looks good, but the colours I did via a collection switch function but it didn't take over in app2. Does anyone know how I can fix it and what can be done. Please help.
As you've seen Copy and Paste has limited effectiveness. You can either copy and paste and then fix any issues or you can use SaveAs to make a complete copy of App1 as App2. Then you can edit App2 as a separate instance.
The app1 has to be in app2 because in app 2 is like a big app and there are other apps in there too. So an app with many apps in it. I hope I was able to explain that well.
I only have to create a collection with a switch function, because when copying it is not transferred and I have to create a series
Switch function in powerapp is a local function so it can't be taken over App2. When you try to copy this function which is defined in the scope of screen whereit is used, it won't get copied.You can try to first make Switch function as a global function and then try again

You can change the scope property of that function to Global by opening the function in the formula bar. Below is general step to change scope-Select your function from formula bar and click on 3 dots in formula bar where you can find properties, check the scope(scroll down) and change it to Global. Click okay and save it
