Update an excel file with legacy connections

Hello there.

Premise: I have a problem with a Sharepoint list that neither Microsoft itself was able to solve which deny me to sync the list with PowerBI..

In order to find a waorkaround, I'm trying to sync my sharepoint list to an excel table then I will link PBI to the excel.

I've made 2 flows, one is used to create rows into the excel when a row is create in the list. Another one is used to updatethe rows.

The rows are created and edited in the sharepoint list so the flow is:

SharepointList--->Excel.

The opposite won't happen.

The flow are builded correctly and tested. I've only one problem with legacy connections which deny me to modify the table inside the web based excel program:

But I can't go everytime in the desktop version in order to update the tables.

Do someone had an idea to update my excel table automatically? Thanks.

    When you say "legacy"  do you mean on-premise SharePoint 2013 ?

    Hi, I don't know how to answer to your question, can you be more specific?

    Indeed, but I don't know what it means.

    I only need a way to update excel queries automatically, while the file is closed.

    It is still not clear to me what you are trying to achieve and if it has anything to do with SharePoint. There are third party tools that allow you to refresh all connections in an Excel file.  But "while the file is closed"  is impossible, it has to be opened (even if just in the background, so you don't see it).

    The legacy connection sample can be easier created, by export excel in sharepoint list. when the export excel file in put back to sharepoint as excel and open it as excel online, when refresh data in data, it prompt legacy connection. That the legacy Calcioscacchi is asking. Is appear that MS is pushing for dataverse making old school refresh in excel does not work in excel online. In fact, I am also facing the same issue, trying to solve now. any solution?
