Getfile with specific date from Excel file in onedrive business and send with email

Hi everyone,

I set up a flow to send an email with a file every month. The flow works—it sends the right file at the right time. However, the issue is that the PDF file is empty (no content).

Ofcourse I checked the file and the files are not empty.

It seems like the file is being created instead of being grabbed.

As I mention in my first post, the logical sequence of your flow is flawed.

The reason your "get file content" and "send email" didn't work is b/c it didn't go down the "Yes" path of your condition. You are using too many apply to each unneccessarily. So either (1) completely revamp your flow and align with what I sent in my first post recommendation. or (2) continue to go down this and diagnose why your condition is not working. (show screenshot of edit mode of the condition).

    Hi @NSL Coder,

And then I made some specific changes.

So the goal of this flow = Send an email on the in Excel specified date with an specific attachment.

Here you can see the Excel file.

These files are in an onedrive folder.

But now; The email is send on the right date with the right name and also with an email attachment with that name.
But the attachment is emphty.. It seems like it generates this PDF file instead of grabbing it from the onedrive folder.

Your flow is definitely in a mess.
    • I don't see any reason for your Apply to each action, as there is no action in there
    • Your For each have another For each 1 loop, which does not make sense, what array are you looping in each of these?
I also don't know what you trying to do as well. Are you trying to loop each rows (multiple rows) in the excel file, get a column of the rows which is part of the file name that you are trying to get from a folder location in onedrive?

If so, there is no reason why you would have the List files in folder action.
    1. List rows present in a table
    2. Apply to each row
      1. Get file content - composing the File field using the column of info from excel and knowing what folder these files are in
      2. send email with file content as attachment
