Hi, I have a flow that extracts metadata from emails and stores them in SharePoint. It stopped working around a week ago. Does anyone have any idea how to troubleshoot this? As the flow isn't triggered at all, there's no error message.
The flow works if I change the trigger to "when an email is flagged (V3)", but that isn't ideal.
I've included a screenshot of the trigger.
Thanks 🙂
Thanks @v-bofeng-msft, that's right, I want the flow to be triggered upon transferring the email. I'll post in the ideas forum, but the flag trigger will do for now.
Cheers
Hi @cnslc :
Yes, "When a new email arrives (V3)" is only triggered when a new email arrives.
Do you want to be named "SharePoint Emails" as long as there is a new mail (whether you receive new mail, or you transfer mail from other folders to "SharePoint Emails") can trigger flow?If so,I am afraid there is no such trigger at the moment.I suggest you consider posting your ideas to the ideal forum.
If you want to get all the emails in an inbox, you need to use the "Get emails (V3)" action. But this is just an action, you need to add other triggers.

Hi @v-bofeng-msft , thanks for taking the time to respond.
I've just tested again with several emails and... it worked for one of them! So I did some more tests, and it turns out the trigger only works where the email is new (ie received time in inbox was less than 5 minutes ago or so).
I guess this is as the name of the trigger suggests ("When a new email..."), however, that severely limits the use case for this trigger.
I guess I will use the flag trigger as a workaround.
Do you know if there's any other useful triggers out there, such as categorising an email?
Thanks again.
Hi @cnslc :
I've made a test but did not encountered the problem you mentioned.
Please check if you have received new emails in your inbox named ‘SharePoint Emails’.
