I am trying to have my flow pick up a value from a dropdown control in PowerApps and fill out a lookup field in a SharePoint list. Note that both the list lookup field and the dropdown get their items from the same source (so the values are, or at least appear to be, identical).

Can you please clarify your question.
1 - In the Subject header you says "pass value from a text input field" but in the body of the message you say "a value from a dropdown control". Can you clarify which one? Also
2 - Are you trying to do this in a Power Automate Flow or just in the App?
Thank you @365-Assist, apologies for the confusion. In my PowerApps app I have a dropdown control populated with data from a SP list (Projects List, column 'Project'). I am using a flow to transfer input from fields in the app, including from the aforementioned dropdown into a SP list (let's call it 'Issues'). In particular, the value in the dropdown should populate a lookup field in the 'Issues' SP list. That doesn't seem to work: all other fields (text fields) are populated by the flow, but the lookup field is not. Please note that both the 'Issues' list field I'm trying to populate using the flow, and the dropdown, read data in the 'Project' column in the 'Projects List', so there shouldn't be an issue with misspellings or the likes (see schema below). Thank you!
Thanks for the clarification. There a few steps.
1- Create Flow like this:
2 - Then you in your Power App
- Create a variable which stores the Project drop down result
- Call the Power Automate Flow

Thank you @365-Assist . The concept is clear and that's exactly what my flow does. The problem is that after the flow is run the field in the Issues list remains empty, possibly because it's a lookup field and won't accept a "manual" entry (from the flow)?
