Steps in Loop Not Executing As of Today

Hi Team,

I have been working and re-working my flows to get them to operate properly. They will work for closing tickets (running sql to identify tickets that need closing, storing them in excel, then entering them into the webpage and doing all of the clicks to close them in a loop). When I ran them today, something happened that never happened before. Once they entered the For Each loop, nothing happened. Every day up to now, when they hit the loop, they enter the ticket number into the search bar and move forward. Today, when it got to that step, the flow just stops. It does not execute the entering of the ticket number, nor does the flow error out, it just stops and takes no action. I have changed nothing and yesterday it was populating the search bar.

I then tried to create another sample flow to just open a ticket and back out of it to the main screen again. This flow also failed to click on the ticket. As of today, none of my 5 flows are able to execute any steps in their loops, when they were all able to for the last several weeks until today. Do you know if there is anything going on with Power Automate Desktop today? As of right now, all of my workflows no longer function. They all just stay in the state that the image below shows.

Have you recently updated PAD and did the problems start after that?

What if you test the UI element in Selectors of UI element window? Does it find the element then? So does it give that green check mark after pressing Test:

For some reason I had issues with PADs newest version to find simple UI elements even after just capturing them. It didn't even give error that it couldn't find the element but error that something went wrong. Then when trying to recapture the element it took minutes and couple of retries to get them.

It probably has to do with PAD not finding the UI element but for some reason not timing out. Can you perform other actions inside the loop other than UI element ones?

So might be issue with newest version of PAD.

    Thanks @eetuRobo ,

It looks like that might be what happened. I checked and I do have the latest version of Power Automate Desktop. The flows definitely cannot find the UI Elements like they used to. It looks like the Actions that have the word Web Page in them work to select the UI Elements. Unfortunately, I am in a bit of a situation with that. The webpage I visit requires a click to open a second tab. All of the ensuing work is then done in the second tab. Whenever I use an Action that has the term Web Page at the end, the flow automatically defaults back to the first tab that does not have the elements I need. Do you know how to prevent the flow from reverting back to the first tab (in Chrome) when using the Web Page Actions?

    Hi @DanielS79

before performing any actions, use attach option in launch browser action to attach to that tab

To add to what @Nived_Nambiar said, you need to attach to the new tab, which will create a new Browser Instance variable. You then need to use that variable as the browser instance on all of your web automation actions that should be performed on this second tab.
