Flow Creates a Corrupted Excel File

Good morning,

I created a simple flow through Power Automate. It is meant to receive an input from a user then create an Excel file based on a template. After each test I have performed, the file shows up in the specified folder but upon trying to open it, I receive this message:

"This workbook couldn't be opened because the file format may not be matching with the file extension."

I have a suspicion that the template is not able to be reproduced in this flow as it is a limitation of Power Automate.

To be more comprehensive, I have a template Excel file and I watched this video https://youtu.be/RB_ySjhm9Sg to understand how I can create a new Excel file based on the template. This is featured from approximately 1:00 to 2:00.

Is there a limitation of Power Automate to create an Excel file based on a template?

Thank you for your assistance,

    The File Content input is expecting an object in this format:

    {
      "$content-type""application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.spreadsheetml.sheet",
      "$content""{insert Base64 here}"
    }

    Your easiest option would be to save the template as an xlsx in your document library. Then get the file content of the template xlsx, create a new file and populate the new file with the input.
